Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers partnered with the Dick's Sporting Goods Open and several sponsors to host the inaugural fundraising event benefiting children at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open on Saturday, June 27, 2009. 

The event raised $40,000 that was distributed evenly between the following charities: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, The Children’s Home, A Room to Heal and The Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University.

We are all connected to someone whose life has been touched by adoption, autism, a child with severe illness and other challenges that children and their families face. The Wendy's Walk for Kids encouraged the community to team up, step out and share hope for the children in the Greater Binghamton area.
